Two Real Madrid stars have conceded to missing Cristiano Ronaldo after the Spanish giants were knocked out of UEFA Champions League and Copa del Rey and currently are in third position in their domestic league, 12 points behind league leaders and arch rivals Barcelona.

The Spanish giants lost two back-to-back El Clasicos within a period of three days and then went on to get knocked out of the Champions League after getting beaten by a youthful Ajax side.

In the wake of these string of poor performances Santiago Solari's stint at the Bernabeu was brought to an end with Zinedine Zidane once again being appointed as the Madrid boss.

Cristiano Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in the year 2009 from Manchester United, and scored 450 goals in 438 matches for Los Blancos before making a move to Juventus.

In his first season at Juventus, Ronaldo has so far scored 24 goals and Real Madrid star, Casemiro has admitted to the fact that “the best player in the world” is being missed at the Bernabeu.

Casemiro said (h/t SportsMole):

"Of course we miss him, any team in the world would miss Cristiano. He is the best player in the world. It was a pleasure playing alongside him, but situations change and he is no longer a Real Madrid player.”

When Real Madrid midfielder and Ballon d’Or winner, Luka Modric, was earlier asked that if the club is missing a player of the calibre of Ronaldo, he replied (h/t Fox Sports):

"Cristiano is a player that every team would miss. Looking for a replacement is almost impossible. Of course we miss him, given everything he did for the club. What the club tried to do was divide the burden among the players, and that isn’t easy.
Cristiano scored 50 goals, and you can’t find someone else who can do that. Some had to take a step forward, and though not score 50, but at least score 15-20, or even ten goals. This is what we are missing.
That’s why I think scoring is our biggest problem this season.”

He also added that they cannot keep complaining about this forever and should step up and take this opportunity to take the front seat.

The club has put faith on other players like Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Karim Benzema and Vinicius and he believes Madrid will bounce back and will always be at the top.
